Siren & Proper is Grand Rapids' first boutique lash lounge and brow bar with two locations in the greater Grand Rapids area. We choose to keep our list of services small in order to really focus on providing the best results. Services include eyelash extensions and other lash services, eyebrow services, microblading, and makeup. Our environment is fun, supportive, a bit quirky while professional at the same time. We are looking for 2-3 candidates to join our team of some of the most highly regarded Lash and Brow Artists in the area. As an Experienced Lash & Brow artist, we expect you to come with previous eyelash extension and/or eyebrow training as well as a client following to some degree. You will still be trained on our services, front desk duties, and the products we sell. You may choose to specialize in just one or all of the services we offer. Responsibilities include providing your services in a professional manner while creating long lasting connections with your clients, maintaining a very clean and tidy work space along with your coworkers, maintaining your own professional instagram account, and always looking forward to learning and improving your craft. We are looking for upbeat and/or outgoing individuals who can multitask, answer repetitive questions with patience and grace, have a willingness to connect with people and make others smile even during peak demand, and who are passionate about this industry. Ultimately, you will be responsible for upholding the standard of beautiful and healthy lashes, brows, and makeup that Siren & Proper is known for providing.

We are looking for both experienced and non-experienced licensed cosmetologists or estheticians. We supply entry level and intermediate training to hired individuals.

Requirements

• Active Michigan Cosmetology or esthetics license

• Previous experience in lash services and/or brow services

• Reliable transportation

• Flexibility to work at one or more area locations

• At least two Saturdays a month availability

• Some evening availability (3-9)

• Ability to work 9-9 shift (only Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday)

• Deliver customized lash/brow/makeup experience designed to exceed client's expectations while building friendly relationships

• Utilize training, skills and expertise to consistently deliver services during consecutive appointments while maintaining a positive interaction with your clients.

• Actively seek or participate in continued education, including new products, new services and more

• Uphold policies and standards as directed by state law and salon ownership

• Expertly guide guests to ideal services, upgrades and products

• Positively contribute to the salon team, atmosphere and reputation of Siren & Proper

• Remain attentive and active in our Slack communication channel

• Must demonstrate an openness to learn and follow proprietary appointment processes or eyelash application processes

• Must maintain a visibly, thoroughly clean and restocked workspace
